I have my '85 GN wheels on the Turbo-T and it looks sharp!
The car is Charcoal-Maroon on bottom, and the '85 GNs have black inserts. It makes the car look like a SLEEPER:eek: The tires are 215/65/15 BFGS in the front I put 245/60/15 SUPER SPORTS in back (Good Tire for the money)What Size would fit in back?I was just gonna put 245/60s hoosiers in back. Are these tires good?
Do they ride good on street?Or should I just Run the BFG Drag Radials?
I need Help NOBODY WANTS TO RUN ME? THEY HEAR MY COLD AIR INDUCTION SUCKING AIR AND MY CAM RUMBLING,ITS FUNNY BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO TAKE A SECOND LOOK AT THE CAR
THEY THINK ITS A FAMILY CAR:rolleyes: IM GONNA BLOW THEIR MINDS WITH THE HOOSIERS AND MY NEW DUMPTUBE:D I PUT 100 OCTANE WITH A BIG BOTTLE OF 108 MIXED WITH 94 MADE A FULL TANK,SMELLS WONDERFULL ANYWAY THE CAR RUN SUPER STRONG!!!!!!!!!WHAT GIVES IT HAS A KENNE BELL CHIP DONT KNOW WHICH ONE?BUT IT WAS A DIFFERENT CAR PULLED LIKE A BEAR:eek: DO THESE CHIPS LIKE RACE GAS? P.S WHY WONT ANY ONE RACE ME?:p

tires

If you are talking about Hoosier quick time pro tires they are not going to be good for street all the time. they are bias ply tire with real soft side wall. for the street stay with a radial. I used Hoosiers for racing and they are great but are not for a lot of street use. hope this helps

what he said but they do hook real real good...im about to order some 29/14:50/15's for my elcamino

in case you want them any way the 27/10:50/15's fit the buicks real good even if lowered

Slicks for fun

I was planning to use them on on both street-strip mostly strip,Im
concerned about mixing my front radials with the Biasplys.I wouldnt go on the highway or in the rain just in my neighborhood
Do they suck on street? Also where can I get a 3"dump pipe?Do you suggest the BFGS?:D

tires

I didnt notice a problem mixing radials/bias, they dont suck on the street but you have to be carefull when cornering cause of the soft sidewall, i think they are great tires, dont even think about driving around the block when the road is even damp..hate to see you wrap it around a tree......

Sticky Shoes

A MUSTANG BUDDY had them on his mid 10 second car and they were sticky to a point he then went to Mickey T ET Streets,I dont have that much power but I like the aggresive look of the DOT QUICK TIMES.I just hate to run them on the street and crash!
I need STICKEY SHOES:eek: I ALSO NEED A 3 "DUMP PIPE FOR MY POSTONS DOWN PIPE WHO HAS EM CHEAP?

thats weird cause most the mustang guys around here are retireing their et streets and getting hoosiers and getting better 60 ft's..

my buddy's car is stock motored stock converter and lowered and hits 1.60 60 fts on the 27/10:50/15's and has no wheel spin a the track.

I ran the Hoosiers for a while. They hooked up better cold than heated ( that's my experience). They are also quite noisy, sort of like all terrains on my truck! Went to M&H racemasters and have been pleased with their street /strip performance although they are no sub for a slick. HTH Brian

I use 28-11.50 15s Quicktime Pros on my GN its lowered and tires do not rub. My frame is notched.

I have 275/50D15 Hoosier QT's (not Pros) on 15x8.5 Convo Pros (3.375" BS) and they don't rub, and they just about come to the edge of wheelwell opening. They have a definite whirrrrring sound at speed. Not louder than the turbo and Big Mouth tho. :D

I ran Hoosier Quick times (not Pro) for a couple of years on my T-Type. First set was 275/5- 15 then 295/50-15 on 15x8" Drag Lites. I really liked them. Would 60' about mid/low 1.8s with the 275s and mid/low 1.7s with the 295s. This was on a high 11 second car. No problems at all in the rain, and only reared that bias/radial problem on very grooved roads... rear would want to track a little differently than the front.

Just something to think about....it seems my QT's 'flat spot' relatively easily. If I let my car sit for a coupla days you can feel a vibration between 30-45 mph until the flat spots go away (usually after a few miles or a quick acceleration burst ;)). I'm not running tubes in them and they're at about 25psi for street use.
