So I have searched on here for some info and couldn't really get anywhere with what I was looking for. Why cause the search is dumb and only finds certain words I searched I want to build my bottom end and do a cam. But I can only find 86 87 109 stuff. Will some of these parts work in the 84-85 block or no. I do know that the oil passages are different and the 109 is a stronger block. Can anyone help me out and give me some tips on what to do and parts that work well.

The 109 block isn't any stronger than the earlier blocks. All parts will fit and work. The major differences are the deck height and the main oil galley being moved towards the outside of the block slightly.

Awesome. I did crawl under the car to check my block number. Cause I did swap the original 84 engine cause it threw a rod. and I found out I have a 85 140 block. I read they are a good block. So hopefully I am on a good track
