Either im blind or its covered in grease and i cant find it.

I bought an oil pressure gauge kit with sender, i still need to fi ish wiring but i figured i would at least attempt to get things rolling and i cant find the factory sender?

What do i have to remove from the engine bay in order to get to the sensor?

Can someone post a picture. And please mods do not move this thread my car is a hot air and things may be in front of it that arent on the intercooled cars.

ALL of the Buick V6 engines have the oil sending unit in the same location. On the passengers side at the front of the block where the timing cover and the block come together. The lower hose may be in the way of you seeing it but if you want a clearer view, take the alternator and AC compressor off the engine.

So another thing i want to vent about is i bought the kit VDO oil pressure gauge 0-80 with the warning light. It apparently doesnt come from the factory with the correct sender that has the contacts for the warning light. The light would come on at 7psi of oil pressure to worn you of possible low oil.

What do these cars idle at for oil pressure when fully warmed up, is it worth sending the sender back and paying the shipping and $10 upcharge to have the sender that has the contacts for the warning light?

This is the gauge i bought.

Product Code: A2C53412998-K1

Should i send them the sender and upgrade to the one that has the warning light capabilities?
