Just curious if hot air wastegates made adjustable cant produce that high of boost?

I know the intercooler guys are able to buy a Heavy duty wastegate? Is that maybe my problem?

Boost spikes to 15psi and then drops to 12/13psi.

I believe i have a stock hot air wastegate that has been modified to be adjustable, and so far i have it shortened to the point i need to pull it over about 3/8" onto the wastegate arm.

I want to make 20psi thats what my chip is for, running e85

I had a problem with my old TA33 where the car would not hold boost like yours and flutter as well. I also had the RJC flange with the larger puck. The hole in the turbo which the puck closes is too small. I removed the turbo and had the hole machined to match the larger puck and my problem was solved.

Well, ill have to talk to the previous owner to see if his setup is different.

I guess ii need to add a boost controller to better control it. Im sure the y vacuum fitting is also an issue

if you are not building boost with a HD actuator you have exhaust leaks or vacuum leaks. you have to turn that turbine wheel to produce boost on the compressor wheel

wahoo if you want it to go wheels up you need some parts (Injectors, big turbo (at least a 60 series), exhaust with a larger down pipe, then get a rjc controler so you can raise the boost. John

Well i know im far from wheels up lol

Tranny and rearend wouldnt be ready for it, thats for sure.

I have a stock converter too.

I have a downpipe but i need to do engine mounts and body bushings first.
