Anyone use a home powder coating kit? I like powder coated parts. Don't have an air compressor or oven. Can I get away with a small cheap air compressor? What is the minimum I need? I can find a thrift store toaster oven. What is the quality of these home systems?

The hot coat gun only needs 8PSI or so and very low volume so a small compressor will work. But it will stick better if you blast it.

A toaster oven will work but makes it difficult to do larger parts. You can find an oven at a thrift store for a $25 bucks or so

Don't have room for a full size oven and a large compressor. That's why I'm looking for the smallest items I can use. Most stuff I wanna coat are small parts. Sure, a large oven ...doing large parts would be awesome....but ...no can do.

Forgot about Harbor Freight. Wish I had remembered when I was in Vegas. Love that place. Might be expensive to ship a compressor to Hawaii. May just purchase the gun and paint from them. Can I use any type of compressor as long as it is 10 to 30 psi capable?

Sure. Some systems like Eastwood only need 5-8psi. Depends on the gun.
