for those that cant read small print it says.....fun facts #10 of 180!...did you know that only 547 1987 buick grand nationals were made, and that it was one of the fastest production vehicles ever produced, making it very desirable to colectors?
i dont know guys, but this hot wheels car may be more value than other collectable toys, just for that fun fact they dont know what the hell they are talking about!

They are cool. I been collecting for a long time. Yea the back is way wrong, as you know. The #10 of 180 means it is the #10 model out of 180 different models this year for 2007.

hahaha!! I've got one of them hanging right here at my desk at work and I haven't even read the back until now! Oh well, some poor guy probably did about 90 seconds of research and came up with those "facts".

As for the hood and engine, I believe the designers always use an actual car as a reference. My theory is, someone at the Hot Wheels design house had a friend, who had a friend, who had a friend who's uncle had a GN that he races and they went a took a few pictures and measurements and came up with the mold designs. The reference car was probably a track-only car with the twin-turbo setup and a removable fiberglass front-end represented by the toy.

What I like best about it is, I've got '85 GN wheels on my '87 so the wheels on the Hot Wheels GN look *VERY* similar to the ones on my car - if you don't believe me, ask my 4-year old son! :p :p :p

I'd like to know how it's possible that every WalMart,Target and Walgreens I've checked for the last 4-5 weeks has absolutely NO Hot Wheels GNs! Not a one! What are the chances that multiple well stocked stores have 1-9 in multiples and no #10s?

Perhaps someone ran around to all the stores ahead of me and bought them out to sell on ebay? :o

Oh, well. At least I scored a nice Johnny Lightning GN in one of the Walgreens. It looks much nicer than the Hot Wheels version. :)

I've been crusing all the stores looking for a Johnny Lightning GN with no luck...I was able to find one HW GN. That was like 5 stores in the DWF area

Hey people, I scored a hand full of these HW GNs tonight while looking for some JL GNs. I'm just charging what I got in the cars plus reasonable shipping. So let me know if your interrested.
