Hot Wire relay and harness

The relay has a red, pink and black/white wire coming out if it. Is red power
pink for the sending unit and black/white ground? The car is not running yet
and I am getting ready to install a external pump. Thanks for the help.

Here is a diagrham for the relay. 86 & 85 are the wires that control the relay (one 12vdc and one ground) does NOT matter which is which. 30 is battery and 87 is to the fuel pump or whatever you are powering. 87a to 30 is a NC (normally closed) that we usually do not use. Jon Hanson

Thanks but that does not help me. I need to know by the wire not a diagram. But thanks. Thsi is the plug end that Plugs into the factory fuel pump connector.

matching the plug of the hotwire to the tank harness

the tank harness is
black -- ground
pink-- fuel sender to gauge (center pin)
tan -- 12v to pump

the hotwire end ,not sure of your kits wire color but should be..
black-- ground
the center pin is the fuel sender to gauge
red -- 12v to pump
