LEAVE IT FACTORY!!!

Hey. I have a bud (pictures on my new page : my 84 T-type
He has the exact same car, 1980 TMC, and he took that 3.8 right out, junked everything but the turbo, the pipes and carb, and threw in a 350. To this day, he regrets it. He has seen about 15 of his exact car, and the condition of them were mint. They were selling like hot cakes he said, and for over 10 grand. factory.
I know with your car, if it is the stock motor and assembly, then you have a plenum under your carburator where the turbo shoots the air in. This would make it quite difficult to intercool, if that is what you are trying to do. it is easier for the hot air SFI cars, than it is for a carburated car. The before black message board (pre 1984 buicks) is the board that specifies in the carburated buicks with turbos. That is right up your alley. I personally have never seen an IC carb. car. What a sight it must be tho! Good luck, bring that car back to factory and enjoy the power of a 1980 turbo MC.
