I need to ship my 87 GN's complete engine from Houston to Knoxville... I've never shipped anything of this size/weight before so I'm clueless. Can anyone give me some advice as to who to use to ship it, what the best way to package it would be, etc..etc....

The car's been down since I cracked a main cap in March and it's killing me to just have it sitting in the garage... I'm living in Virginia Beach now (Navy) and can't do the work on the car myself.... Just want to get the motor rebuilt and back in the road. Thanks!!!!!!!!

use a crate cut the bottom for the oil pan then metal strap it use a card board box to slip on top or make a frame box for the top

as for shipping call your local frieght line company and ask them what is needed

Try calling Fed Ex Freight. I used them to ship a motor ftom Cotton's place to Missouri for around $320.00. Cotton just bolted to a palet plastic wrapped the engine and it arrived not damaged. No boxing at all.
