I replace the B&M rachet shifter with the stock shifter today. Three items I need help with.
1) see pic below. Did I put the clip on correctly?
2) see pic belw. Where does this ring go?
3) How do I adjust the cable? I need it to go a about a 1/4 to 3/8 of inch more forward so the trans will go in park and I can get the key out of the ignition. Thanks for your help.

First the clip is on wrong, the tab should be pointed towards the front of the car.So just flip it around.Second the ring thing looks like the spacer from the bracket from the B&M shifter that is used to space the linkage adapter away from the trans pan.3rd to adjust the linkage you will need adjust the rod that goes from the trans to the steering column.

Thanks for the repley. I can't seem to get the clip to fit with the tab facing the front of the car. Any suggestions. Do I need another clip for where the cable comes into the shifter?

The clip has to be tapped in place. The bent ears are there to make it a tight fit.
Look at the brake lines on the ft of your car.. They are the same way.

OK. Thanks. Do I need a complete for where the cable comes into the shifter to keep the cable in place. It seems like it. If so, is it the same kind of clip.
