how do you clear codes

I know this is probably as simple as I think it is, but just want to make sure. After an issue has been taken care of the code still appears on my scanmaster. Do I just disconnect the computer to clear the codes, or is there another way of doing this? Thank you in advance Mike.

Unplug ecm connector wire by the battery. Wait a few moments.. replug it back in. It comes right of the +Red wire by the battery

If you have an adjustable chip (TT or the like) you will lose your settings, if you changed any. Just an FYI.
