How fast?

Hi,My friend just purchased an 89 Turbo Trans Am with 700 miles.It is mint to say the least,It is his third,he currently has 2.He has another with 30-40,000 miles.
Anyway he just got some new mods.The car is brand new still so its definately not an engine problem.
His mods are:

TE44 Turbo Installed by Ron's Custom Auto in Kennilworth,NJ
3 inch ATR Downpipe
External Wastegate
36lb injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator
ATR Dual Exhaust with Dump Pipe
9 inch K&N Filter

This car was put together by Ron's and i know they are good,i recommended them to him.

The thing is he only ran a 12.7@109.That was with the dump closed.The other TTA ran a 12.8@107 with the same mods except for the STOCK TURBO .

What kind of times would you expect to run with that setup,Im assuming it is properly tuned and put together and he has driven GN's and TTA's his whole life so it isnt a driver thing

well, you didn't tell us much did you? how much boost? what kind of fuel? what kind of tires? 60' times?

just because it has some mods doesn't mean it is going to set the world on fire....a good running TTA with a '44 should turn mid to low 11's (with traction, lots of boost, and a driver )

He paid 24K,Its running 18 psi and he has Bf goodrich KDW tires.Fuel pressure is good.

IMHO he overpaid, but it will not go fast without slicks and high octane gas.....if would like to race titile for title, have him give me a call

Why would he want to race a guy in the 10's title for title?
