Run 11's in 100% true street form? I know 11's are fairly cheap and easy in these cars but how many have done it using drag radials, alky or propane instead of race gas, and full exhaust? This sounds like what I would like to do (if i get some money some day) but I'm curious as to how far it sets you back. Lets hear it!!

alright we are the second owner of this Boston GN and have made an excel program that shows how much we have put in aftermarket items (so insurance wont be such A holes the next time one of our GNs gets stolen). We have pretty much everything you are asking to get into the 11s. We have not run in the 11s but the mph we ran would put us deep into the 11s if we get the 60 foot times right. The sig says it all. With my calculations it has costed us 11K to do it. Thats with all the things in the sig and all sorts of extras to try to get rid of the problems we are/did have while trying to get a street legal 11sec GN. Hope this helps because GNs have to be one of the cheapest and best cars to make go like "yak the bear" and still be street legal.

Build a car that can run 10's on racegas and it will probably run 11's in street trim...

Don't forget to put in a cage, just because some tracks (IHRA) don't require it untill 11.5 it is still a good idea IMHO.

I would have to say that with what you already have you should be able to get into the 11's on some DR's and racegas. If you get it down to the mid 11's on racegas (C16) you should at least be able to go high 11's on a good Alky setup and be completely streetable and legal.

What have you run so far?

Well the idea of a cage is out. I know it's a lot safer and it would sure look cool with the t-tops off, but this is waaay too nice of a car to put a cage in. Besides, I don't actually plan on running it at the track very much(also because it's too nice of a car to tear up) The main reason I want 11's is so I can say it's an 11 sec. car and to say that it does it in street trim would be even cooler. A single 11.99 pass would suit me just fine.
I haven't ran it at the track yet. I just got it(from a board member) and now it's in storage for the winter. I have a ton of stuff to verify, tune, tinker with, etc. when spring hits. From the paper work I've dug through, I may even have ported heads! I need to call the owner before last to check on some things.
My complete combo: te44, 009's, 200/200 cam, walbro 307 hotwired, adj. fpr, atr 3-inch dp w/ wastegate, lubrant 93 street chip, and turbolink 4.0 w/boost harness.
I'm thinking that it at least needs progressive alky, a power plate,a new chip, free flowing exhaust, stretch stock IC or front mount, 2800-3000 stall, rear sway bar, boxed control arms, and the drag radials of course. If I tuned and tuned and tuned and tuned do you think this would get me there? And if not what do I do after that?

thanks for the replies and advice.

25 psi. and bald BFG drag radials might work.

2-3 nozzles and a race chip in proper tune.

Oh, weight the car first, see how much HP you will need to do it. :)

I didn't weigh it before I put it away for the winter but with t-tops, power windows, locks, jack, spare and all the other crap I'd bet it's on the heavier end of the scale.
