How long will it last.

After contemplating on what to do with my blown tranny, I have decided to pick up a stocker to use for a while. The tranny has 60K on it and is in good condition. My block and heads are setup for very fast numbers. However, I am going to use my old te-60 for a while along with a 3000 stall converter. I was wonderig how long I can expect a stock tranny to hold up to mid 11 sec passes. Eventually I am going to get a CK stage to once I have a chance to make some money this summer. I know I should just get it over with now but the price is real good and tranny is right next door so I just want to get the car running before I drop 2 Gs. If anyone has an educated guess on how long it will last I would appreciate it.

There really isnt a good answer to that, some stockers last for 100s of passes and others will snap with the first drop of the hammer. It may last a while if you are nice to it and don't hammer it every 5 mins or so like i do . I broke my stocker when it wasn't more than a high 12 second car but have friends that have been 11s on a stock tranny. so who knows

Thats pretty much what I figured. Hopefully if I take it easy on the high boost launches before I get mine built up it will be alright. Thanks for the reply.
