Does anyone knows how many pounds does one gallon of gasoline weighs?Today I flowed my MSD 50 injector to see if it is
really a 50 lber.In one minute @ 43 psi it flowed 15.5 ounces on my fuel injection machine. If calculated by 7 lbs(water) the injector is a 43#.My chip is programmed at 46# constant to have 128-130 blocklearn cruising.I need to know for more precise chip programming. The injector is dark green-on the side it says(H-50)The package is Holley.Bought them from Ramchargers.Just wondering if they really are MSD 50#
Thanks in advance

About 6 lbs.
But, a 50 PPH injector is a 50 PPH injector. Assuming it's not damaged.
However, injectors vary in their linearity. All act slightly different at small opening times. Entering 46 to get a 128 BL is about meaningless as far as estimating injector flow rates. If you wanted to do things right, assuming you've made any intake tract changes, means entering the right injector size, and then recalibrating the MAF tables and scalers. Recalibrating the MAF is a royal PITA, even if you have a WB. What folks have gotten into is lieing about injector size cause it's easy to get things close.

PS,
a 60 PPH injector will flow 1 pound of fuel per min.
60 mins in an hour, 1/60 of that is 1.
A 50 PPH injector with flow 50/60 of a pound of fuel in a min

According to Kinsler Fuel injection,1 American gallon of gas weighs:
6.17 lbs. for .74 specific gravity[pump gas] @ 60 degrees farenheit.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info guys.I`m using 6.17 and the figures came out to 44.79# injector.Today I`ve changed the injector constant to 44.3# and drives o.k.freeway steady cruising light acceleration-
block learn @ 138 average. Idle @ 123 .It has slight noticeable lean tip in.I now burn another chip @43.2# and will try it out tomorrow and see how it is when cold to hot.I`m really disappointed that it`s not 50# because I use to have Bosch 42.5 with no problems.I`ve called Holley and was told it was a 50# by the part numbers.I`ve was hoping they flowed it @60 psi instead of 43.5(3 bar)But they told me testing was performed @ 43# fuel pressure. He did not bother to look the specs. What lead me to do this is my friend`s encouragement. He saw me programming chip after chips for 1 year and still having problems.
