I have looked through my books and cannot find out how many WH1's where built in 86. I believe that non where made in 87, am I correct.

OH. I thought all WH1 are black and grey. What other combos were there?

To the best of my knowledge, the WH1 code started in 84 as designating the black and grey "Designer's Series" car. It had the GN's back spoiler as well. In 86 the Designers's series offered more color combos. I've seen Blue/Dk. Blue, Burgandy/ Grey and Silver/Grey. I'm sure there's more odd color combos out there. They're truly unique cars and not many left either.

All WH1 are black/grey combo

The other colors you've seen are just two tone combos. The WH1 had black on top and bottom w/ grey in the middle. The other two tones were one color on top and a different shade of the same color on the bottom. I've seen it in blue and grey/ silver but it was available in other colors as were the regular Regals.
On a side note the dealer(Vandergriff Buick) in Arlington, Texas had an 86 WH1 decked out with some engine mods that supposedly ran mid 12's in the late eighties(87-88 time frame) anyone know what happened to that car?
