How much boost?

How much boost should I be able to run on a SMC progressive alky kit with a TE-44? I already have MSD-50's, Walbro 340, Turbo Tweak alky chip, but I have the stock unmodified intercooler and the stock exhaust elbow with the stock downpipe. When I had the stock turbo I was able to run about 20psi with 0 knock, which was good for a 12.4 at 110mph. I do have a scanmaster.
I didn't know how much of a difference the TE-44 turbo will be if any. Steve at SMC is sending me the 15 nozzle instead of the 10 which I ran with my stock turbo(so that should give me an extra 50% meth). Also which upgrade should I perform next(intercooler or downpipe)?

You should be able to tune your car to 22 - 24 psi & it will be a very noticeable improvement over the stock turbo at those boost levels. My next steps would be a Duttweiler neck on the stock intercooler to free up a few pounds of restricition & a 3" downpipe. It should make for a solid 11 sec combo. with traction.

How much? That's like asking how many twinkies Rosie Odonnell will eat today. As much as you can get before it either shows no improvement or the engine blows apart.
