I gotta tell ya, that's a BIG meal buddy...

Holy god that is a big meal!

Price wise, it could be worse. My son is leaving for Tokyo Japan in the morning with some others from America Top Team. The last time he went abroad he told me he felt as though he was feeding the whole family when he saw the bill.

We were in Germany visiting relatives after Christmas and I found the price for food to be pretty similar to around here, it wasn't a shock or anything. Gas prices however, MAMA MIA I can see why they drive nothing but little gutless econo cars! I'd never own a V8 over there it'd put me in the poorhouse.

As for how much I can eat, I don't eat big anymore, I've always been a total lardass and about 4 years ago I tipped the scales at 415 (yes that's four hundred and fifteen). I got winded walking to the mailbox, and would usually sit in the car when we went shopping because 3 or 4 aisles in and I'd have cramps and stuff. I got fed up and started a drastic diet (Medi-Fast) and lost down to 270. I'm still a lardass but at least I can walk a couple miles now without a problem, and I can sit on a bicycle without my ass getting sore in 4 minutes.

Still far from "healthy" but it's a helluva lot healthier than before. I'm at the point now though that "eating less" really isn't working, I don't eat that much, I just sit, all the time, damn computers and computer related business :) Now I just gotta get off my butt more and get some exercise to lose any more weight.

I can't eat any where near that much. That much food would feed me, my wife and three kids and probably still have a doggy bag to take home. I am a little guy though, 5'9" 170#s.

I dont think it is possible for the body to consume that many calories at one time before it passes through the small intestines.

I am no health nut, but I think it is safe to say it is not healthy to eat like that on a regular basis. As a teenager I could eat a whole large pizza by myself, but now that I'm 34 my metabolism is practically non-existent :frown: . Eating that much food at night would go straight to my gut, I try not to eat anything after 7pm.

I started off with 24 Oysters on the half shell, went to 75 peel your own shrimp (decent size for a change), had a 1 1/2 inch thick Prime Rib, cooked very rare with boiled potato, spinach and gravy, Found out they had 1/2 lobsters (no claws but nice tails for an extra $1.50 each) had 8 of them with drawn butter, 4 Peking duck pancakes with sauce and scallions, an egg plant parmigiana, with 4 stuffed shells and sauce, and a plate full of assorted fruit for dessert.

Good Lord dude!
I have to go take a crap now after reading that

When I used to go to the chinese buffet, I would go straight to the crab legs and nothing else. I can eat maybe 30 legs easy. I don't waste any time on carbs or soup or veggies.
me and a friend ate so many crab legs night after night at a local place that they quit offering them on the buffet and made them an "add-on" We found another joint, ate there for a while. We then went back to the first place and discovered they had crab legs back on the buffet!!! but then this chinese ladie says: "you eat too much!, you go now, you go now". The jig was up, Crab junkie! Pure and simple! It's in your eyes, there ain't no hiding it. I just go to Sam's Wholesale now, You eventually gotta go pro.

Come on guys, dinner tonight was 1/2 a Corn Beef sandwich on Rye, 1 dill pickle, and a 24oz. glass of water!

Yummmmm!!!! :frown:

Only 4 days until Saturday again!!!

You'll never be healthy if you keep looking at food the way you do.

I used to be pretty fat, 240, 42" waist, 5' 10"

I got into cycling and started looking at food differently.

As long as you keep looking at poison as a "treat", no health kick will ever last for you.

I remember being able to down bags of potato chips.. now three normal potato chips will make me want to puke. It's like putting 87 octane in your turbo buick.

When I eat a healthy meal it tastes good because I know I'm putting the equivalent of 116 in the tank

It's all mental man.

My treat is being able to do 20 pull ups, run 6 minute miles, and feel great when I get up in the morning.

I'm not a youngster anymore and not as strong as Pablo, but I work out everyday and watch what I eat. For 61, I'm in great shape. I spend about an hour a day working out, and I'm not about to compromise that by eating crappy food everyday.
Now I'm 5'11 and I have a 32" waist. I can do 100 situps and 100 pushups everyday and work out with weights too. Being healthy really makes you feel good about yourself.

Unfortunately, I don't eat as well as I should. Most of my physical activity comes from work and working on my projects around the house. I have nowhere near the desire to set aside an hour a day to work out.

I try to eat well but I'm in the field so much it is hard. Lots of vegetables when I'm home. I also love red meat and like it grilled, so we grille out very regularly.

The way I live, I never thought I'd make it to 30 and this year I'll turn 40, so I think I'm doing OK.

Eating is a social activity to my family so we do eat well. They called my brother 'vulch'(Short for vulture) when he was in the army as he cleaned up what ever anyone else didn't want from their plate. Everyone I work with knows I like to eat.

That makes two of us:eek:
