how much is to much?

I would like to know how much horsepower one could make on a stock grand prix gt without being in danger of breaking parts such as the transmission and or other parts.

people on regalgs.org and clubgp.com would be able to answer that better...but it seems 400-450 hp is doable...although you could mess things up at lower power if you're hard on it...no drag racing with slicks...

it's the torque that kills parts...not hp. a bigger cam and ported heads will move torque up in the rpm range, and lower peak torque.
