New engine and have had the transmission sitting for 2+ years with the oil in it. New converter and filled it with as much oil as possible before installing the transmission. Drained the oil when installed in car again and changed filter. Got a external oil cooler installed as well.
Feels like I've been pouring in a lot of oil already and whit transmission hot and idling in park it still don't show on the dipstick .... when turned off it does show pretty high on the dipstick.
Been toping up about half a quart several times but getting to the point were it feels like I'm overfilling ....
I did refill the transmission with plenty of oil (but forgot to count) after filter changes and draining the oil fluid. Guess the oil cooler would take some to fill and of course filling up the converter after I've started the engine and transmission been used / driven a bit.
Anyway, should I just keep topping up and check hot, idling in drive until it shows on the dipstick or any other ideas out there (and no there's no leak anywhere that I can see).
