How much power car i get out my hot air car??

I just wanna see some hp and tq numbers some of you hot air guys have just got my first 85 GN and wann get in the 400hp range and tq any suggestions wanna keep it hot air though maybe..... let me know if its possible with an hot air set up

The question isn't whether it's possible, but how much research you're willing to do and how much money you're willing to spend. We've got 1 verified HA car in the 10's right now and it's very possible that one will be in the 9's. It's simpler to go IC and you can make power cheaper than with a HA car, but you won't have an original car. Now that I've said that the choice is yours as to how you go about making power. Porting the intake, larger turbo, headers and down pipe, and of course upgrade the injectors and ECM and you should have some fun.

If i couod find some headers that would be perfect.....but the likely hood of that is slim to none but 1 Ha car in the 10s gives me some awaking!! And as far as i know keeping it HA i would only have one turbo to choose from? Ive been seeing that alot! Im going to port my intake today put a walbro 340 in it and gotta order sum injectors whats a good choice? I just might make sum piping for an ic set but im thinking alky or mybe both?

There are actually 2 in the 10's right now and the HA guys have been waiting to see who's going to make it into the 9's first. Have you seen the speed daddy header thread yet? Te do require some fabrication but unless you get lucky and find a set of poston or ATR on evilbay or the board then you can use them or fabricate your own.

For turbos you can PM several board members from junkbrick to bison and one of them should be able to help you with a bigger one. Convert to an 86-87 puter with a TT chip which will help you control the timing ect better. If you've got E-85 where you are that's an easy upgrade with larger injectors and you can get the chip and injectors from turbo tweek so you have a matched set up.
