How much reliable horsepower can you get?

How much reliable smogable horsepower can you get out of a carbed motor?
Do they make headers ? intake? bigger turbo for these?
assuming a later year exhaust will bolt on if you wanted to go with a gn flowmaster setup.

Just wondering if you can get 250 horses to 300 out of say a 83 t type

Yes, you can, but you need to pick the parts carefully and understand how the system works.

I'm putting out just above 250 at the flywheel. Nearly all stock components.

see that sounds fun too me. I love a carbed turbo. I used to have a 84 mustang gt Turbo ( not the svo) but the gt. wish I would of kept that too. though that was a dog but a rare dog.
