I'm just about to do a leak down test, and I'll need to know the travel so I can reset the lifters when I'm done. They were purchased from PTE about 3 years ago for the billet cam setup.
Depends on the type of roller lifter your using. Are you using individual rockers or stock shaft style? If it was installed once and running fine all you need to do is set the preload between .015-.030" if there individual rockers. Look up COMP CAMS on the internet and there catalog lists a step by step on "how to" adjust hydralic lifters... HTH
Most hyd. lifters have about .150 travel, but to set lash = set to 0 lash (lifter on cam base circle) than if you have adjustable rockers give the screw a half turn and your done (.020/.030 preload). Is this what you wanted to know?

So as long as I make sure I'm not on a lobe, it should be a piece of cake. I have the T&Ds, so they are easily adjusted. However, how do I make sure the lifters are "pumped" up.....I used to think you bottomed out the lifter and then backed it off to avoid any problems with possible "non-pumped" lifters.
