How much would it cost to make a streetable 8 second GN?

I wonder if Cal Hartline put wheely bars on his 9 sec GN yet. When I see his name mentioned on this board first thing i think of is that wheely he did at night when the rear bumper scraped the track pretty bad

As much fun as an 8 second street car (or even 9 second) would be, I really don't think you can afford it. Granted, I don't know you and I don't know how well off you are or whatever, but I think there are better ways to spend the money.

An 11 second car will dominate the streets. Keeping it mid-high 11's will save you on breaking parts.
