"WRONG" I haven't had a leak in 6 years, not since I use permatex gasket sealer on the gasket (not form a gasket aka silocone). no you will never reuse the gasket but the gaskets a cheap from GM.

I'm sorry it's called permatex super "300" form-a-gasket sealant.
it comes in a 4 oz white brush in bottle can part #80057. put a thin layer on both sides of the gasket & "NO LEAKS"

not to rain on your parade norbs

I change my turbo very often though, Well i'm sure it will catch on this is going to be a slick setup when i'm done

:) Norb with all the changes velcro won't seal oil.

I also have had my turbo off a number of times with no leakes. I also changed from the stock flex hose to a braided hose. The steel flex hose will crack over time.

Good Luck

I have 3 tr's in my garage right now---all of them leaking like hoover dam---WHATCHA got?????

Prolly compression fittings:) :) :)
Since I am so good do I get the first free...

not compression fittings, something with o-ring design. It will be fool proof also.:)

Only 2 people interested in this from 11,000 members? I guess no ones oil drain leaks:confused:

Norbs, I just ordered a Turbo drain tube from John's today for $46.00 Nice design. I cant wait to install it when it gets here. I looked on the parts section and every single tube i could find was sold. But thanks to you other guys for the gasket info!!

Permatex 300, or even ultra copper works well. To line things up better, I also use studs instead of the normal bolts most people use. Makes it easier to line things up to insure a leak free seal. Knock on wood, I've never had a leak there.

I would pay good money for someone to design a C-clip eliminator kit that didn't leak on a street car though.. And, don't tell me to fix it by welding on Ford ends! :)

Mine doesn't leak but if it's anything as trick as what Big mike posted, I may be interested anyway

Nice pics mike, but nothing that flashy, just a simple o-ring design. Thanks for the pics though

They leak only on Canadian cars, must be the cold weather,
