I saw that. Pretty sad indeed.
Aluminum is much easier than people think with the right equipment and prep.
and not real hard to make pretty also

Oh Man....

I can't imagine doing that....

I got a Hot ember in my work boot once... That HURT!!

I also had one go down my sleeve using the cutting torch...

and here is this Kid...

Prolly unscathed

I try to TIG everything at work,But its not very mobile.
I get burned all the time with the mig.Shoes,ears,arms,etc.....

I end up stick welding stainless for small repairs,That is a pain.

I do now have a sweet mobile stainless mig welded that runs off 110 or 220

I wear the proper safety equipment but while mig welding my frame doing a notch job i remember thinking "whats that smell"........
Lifted my helmet and my pants/boot caught on fire,lol...
Quick pat off and back to work, lol.

I was doing the notch on my car and began to prep the areas for welding using a Harbor freight 4 1/2 in. grinder. I was standing holding the grinder taking a break and remember my glove getting real hot when I noticed the grinder was shooting sparks out and on fire! Had ear plugs so I coulnt hear the ruckus the grinder was making..
