How to cut turbo shield for 3" DP?

i use a plasma cutter then clean it up with a grinder

A Plasma cutter is fast, but kind of rough, takes a steady hand, too.Better to use air nippers or such.

I used a die grinder, you just have to have a steady hand and score it first with a very small part of the blade. Then I ground the edge down and hit it with my belt sander real quick. I think it turned out nicely. The whole process took less than 30 minutes.

I used a grinder for my cut to install my Delatgate and 3" DP. Mark it first with a marker, place it in a vise and get yourself a steady hand.

Jigsaw with metal blade...if the shield is chromed or coated put a few layers of masking tape on it so the saw won't scratch it...
