How to ID 81 vs 82-83 wastegate actuator

The title says it all. I have found a waste gate actuator and the guy isn't sure what year it is off of. It's for my 82 so I want to make sure I don't accidentally pick up a usually closed unit.

The actuator isn't that big a deal, it's the lever on the wastegate that does. You can bend the bracket to work with the normally closed unit but the lever position on the wastegate is different between the normally closed and normally open.

Here's the two he has up for sale. The left is what I need but the right is something I haven't seen. Any ideas?
