How to polish stainless steel?

Just ordered my Pypes exhaust from Summit. Should be here in two days. I also ordered the chrome exhaust tips as I didn't like the way the pipes meet up with the fender. I would like to polish it up and get it nice and shiny. Any suggestions?

Emory compound on a spiral sewn wheel until it gets shiney and then switch to a stainless compound. you've got to get enough wheel speed to get the part hot and stay with it.
