i want to order a powerlogger but you need the 2.1 upgrade how to i tell if mine is a 2.0 with the upgrade to 2.1 or just a 2.1 It says 2.1 when i turn the key on

Yours is telling you it's a 2.1. When you order the powerlogger just ask for the 2.2 upgrade chip for your scanmaster.

Scanmaster versions, which ones can be updated - Full Throttle Speed Tech Support

if the 2.1 appears on the right side of the display when powering up, you have the 40 pin chip version.

if it appears on the left, then you need to look inside the unit.

The PowerLoggers all come with the update chip included.
