How to test a oil pump?

How do you know if an oil pump is making enough oil PSI? The car I have has the 86 dash that has friggin zero mechanical guages on it....replacing it soon.

I have the motor out but would like to test the oil PSI with the motor out and what is the best way to do this? If it is bad then i can fix it before installation.

Oil pump primer on the end of a good electric drill and a mechanical oil press gauge. Think I was getting like 60 psi when I primed mines, hope that helps
