how to test TCC solenoid?

I don't think mine is working. from what I understand jumpering pins A and F on the aldl connector with the key in run position you should hear the solenoid. I checked the fuse labeled "gauges" which says is wired to the tcc. Still nothing. Solenoid was replaced in january.

i wired up a toggle switch on the ALDL to test mine. i'd get going 60 or so, flip the switch, and watch the rpm's drop a few hundred rpm.
i blew the trans at the track before figuring out why it didn't lock up on it's own.

I found my brake switch was not making contact when the pedal was released, adjusted now have 12v between A and F pins, will road test in a day or 2.
