I have recently installed an aftermarket VDO oil pressure sender. I have a small leak coming from the sender. I just have it tightened by hand and need some suggestions on how to get it tighter. Is there a special tool to use or some home made jobby I can create? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Anybody know where I can get the "TEE" VDO-240-850 to hook up both the stock sender and the aftermarket sender?

Thank you,

Clay

First of all did you use Teflon tape or some silacon sealant on the threads of the sending unit?

I believe I just used a large pair of channel lock pliers and gently grabbed the sending unit. Although not the best idea in the world if you are careful not to grab it to hard it should be ok. With some sort of thread sealant on there you shouldn't need that much torque.

I did use lock tight on the adapter but not on the sender itself because the directions said not to.

I want my stock to work also. I just want to know how do you wire the stock sender into the aftermarket send. I read somewhere you wire the two bottoms prongs together and splice into the the S prong. Can anybody give me better directions?

Thanks,

Clay
