im sorry guys if i sound stupid but this is my first gn and im new to all this stuff.the car has a 42lb injec,93 octane chip for injec,k/n cone filter, bigger duttweler neck,te44 turbo, and i think 2800 stall lock up...it doesnt have a fuel pressure gauge so i dont how to set fuel pressure and i really dont know how to turn up boost on turbo, again sorry if i sound stupid but im fairly knew at this...thanks

No, dont worry about sounding stupid, i have owned my car for 5 years and am asking what size slick will fit :)

however first you have to make sure you have an adjustable FP regulator. then get a fp guage kit and either mount on the rail or to the hood. suggestion would be to mount it on the hood so that you can actually see while you are driving. when adjusting the fp you will want to have the line off. in regards to ajdusting boost you have to see if you have an adjustable actuator. you can also have an in car boost controller ( I have both) when adjusting under the hood (from the actuator located on the bottom of the turbo) you must unhook the rod then turn the nut towards the motor once it is shorter you then pull the rod so it can be hooked up the the "puck" again. since you have not had the car long i suggest reading this board and others like it. also visit www.gnttype.org a lot of information there. sorry if my explanations are vague a lot easier to do then to explain sometimes

You don't want to touch anything until you get at least a boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, knock gauge, and some kinda of scan tool: t-link, scanmaster, otc scanner, something!! It would also be nice to have a water temp gauge and oil pressure gauge in the car.

But, to answer your question you need an adjustable wastegate rod or boost controller(manual or electric) to turn your boost up. Then you need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to turn you fuel up or down. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator will have a allen head screw on top of it. You turn the allen in to up the fuel pressure, but you don't want to do this without a fuel pressure gauge! Don't turn you boost up without a knock gauge either. You can easily blow a headgasket without being able to monitor you engine.

How much boost is it currently running? Do you have any fuel system upgrades? Fuel pump? Hotwire kit? Did the previous owner give you a list of what mods you got? You may want to get every detail you can get off them.

Oh ya don't use the stock boost gauge, they are junk. Read everything you can and understand what you are doing when turn up boost and fuel or you will be rebuilding that motor. That is no fun. Do some searches on turning up boost. -Nick.
