how to verify id of turbo ??

i bought a new craig built TA62 supposedly off someone but didnt get any papers or anything with it so how do i know if its really a ta62 and not something else?just want to make sure i got what i paid for. thanks

The one and only way to tell is to take the turbo apart. and measure the turbine wheel dia, You might here check this or check that, but trust me taking it apart is the only way, Been there done that !

if i take the 6 bolts out do i need to put threadlocker or anything on them when putting it back together.the wheel should measure 62 mm right? thanks

I didn't put thread locker on mine, seems O.K. as far as what it should measure, I'm not sure, you need to go to one of the turbo Mfg. sites and you should find your info there, hope this helps ?

I don't use a threadlocker but I really goop the bolts up with anti-sieze.

i took it apart and measured the wheel at 3in. or 96mm.now how do i figure it out from here? thanks
