that's probably what I'm gonna end up doing. Hopefully it cools it down under 180. Gonna be over 100 on saturday:eek:

just got done with jumping the resistor. pain in the ass getting the rusted screws opened up but got it done and didn't cost a dime:cool: Let the car sit and idle in my hot garage and didn't get over 168. Probably will run a little hotter in the sun but it's better than 200

thats great as his chip does the same but his problem isnt that the fan doesnt come on at 168 but that its not enough in low speedon his stock fan
even us guys running fast have to work to get the high speed mode on sooner than 224*

and since you're sharing .... isnt the injector opening retard off. should'nt it be '0.00'

I also quoted another guy in my post.. what I was trying to show is after you jump both the ground wires on both the fan relays together then the fan on number you plug into your fast tune will turn on the low fan relay by grounding it which because of the joined grounds also trips on the high speed relay making it high speed all the time...no cooling issues all weekend here(has hot cruising around car craft)...

stock fan still doesn't pull enough air. Looks like its' time for a cooling upgrade sometime. Over 200* sitting in staging lanes isn't cutting it.

I am having good luck with a set of old ramchargers (intrepid fans) with a 2 row (1in /row) radiator

From what I've noticed it seems like it's more the fan than the radiator on these cars. I drove a few miles in town and a few on the highway and came to a stop and the temp was at 174, which is fine with me and it was typically warm yesterday. I may just get some intrepid fans for now and a harness and throw them on for now. The inside of the radiator isn't corroded up from what I could tell.
