how will it run with mass air unplugged?

I am trying to diagnose a problem....tap test not working....Can unplugging it shed some light? or does it run worse that way?

Go ahead and unplug it. It'll run but will set a code.
If it runs better unplugged, you have found your problem - maybe

zam70 is correct....It will probably run better if the MAF is bad....Also check your O2 readings before you unplug and after.....Mine had a constant voltage when my MAF went bad...after I unpuged the MAF, the O2 sensor voltage started to cycle up and down, as it should......
