I absolutely have nothing good to say about Stern. What did he get like $500 million to go to Serius and nobody followed. I cant wait till the other shoe finally falls for him. $500 million and he works 4 days and takes months off. All I have to say is do yourself a favor and get XM and listen to OPIE and Anthony. They also have a cbs radio show that is on FM. You will laugh your A$$ off at these guys, and yea they do rant about Stern from time to time.

They suck also!

Ive tried to listen to O&A,Bubba the love sponge,Ferral,etc....
I can deal for more than a few minutes with any of them.

As far as Stern,I love the show but not for him.
Artie,Richard Christy and Sal are some funny dudes

At the same rate though. Clear channel is going down the tubes since they dropped him

I admit O&A takes some getting used to. Its not like you can turn it on one day and say they suck, you have to listen and get into the groove of the show to totally understand what its all about. What else are you gonna listen to?? Stern crying about his listeners not being faithful and following him to sattlelite radio, not everyone can afford it . Thats if he even has a show thats not a rerun being broadcast. Maybe someday O&A will go down the same road but for now they are shoving Howard out of the picture.

O&A went exclusivly to XM a few years back and you had to pay $2 dollars extra a month for them,They are now back on reg radio also.

Gotta say they will all go were the money is.

Once his bio movie came out people realized he was a sellout and had stopped being funny.

O & A used to be on a premium channel now they are not. I think they had to go where they could. After the stunt at St. Patricks they were out of work for some time till somebody picked them up. Im sorry I get so geeked about them but I work construction and spend alot of time in the truck driving and that SUCKS... Ive had to pull over before from laughing so hard.

Howard Stern is downright hilarious still!! I have to say.

I love the interviews still, Andrew Dice Clay, the Football Picks with "Crazy Alice, BigFoot, and Elegant Elliott" characters. Nothing like this show! Yeah, the crank calls from Sal the Stockbroker, and Richard Christy make me always laugh like crazy.
Of Course Artie Lange is always good to listen to as well. Him and his Twinkies and Devil Dogs, and memorizing the numbers on the Snack Machine. Stupid and Silly but Funny! Some of the Sybian rides can get old, because it's the same thing over and over, but I still like the new satellite, free speech version of unsolicited radio. It's just downright raw and funny. Ever watch George Carlin, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, and just stare at the screen? They're raw, and downright funny as well.
Take for example the new Borat Movie. What a hilarious, downright shocking and crazy funny movie that is!! And before that, the Jackass 2 movie. If you all want to see a movie that will downright either make you gag and turn it off, or just just belly laugh, watch those screwballs in the new Jackass 2 movie. My favorite part is when Johnny Knoxville blindfolded himself and let a Bull literally Plow into him throwing him up in the air!!! He got that from an old Tom & Jerry Cartoon.

It's all about entertainment, and getting a good laugh once in a while. We live in a really stressful and different world these days. Everyone it seems is fighting lately. Whatever. I still love Funny stuff. Yeah, it's not very classy, but it still will either make you laugh or probably offend your taste. That's what headphones are for!

If his contract pays him $500 mil. whether or not anyone's listening, he ought not be too upset. I mean, if his show goes belly up, do you think he'll need to get a job at Wal Mart or something to make ends meet? He's got it made.

Hell, for $5 million dollars, I'd sit in a refrigerator box each morning and talk to myself...no complaints! :p

Wow, Sirius launching a internet radio service that can be heard around the world by letting people tune in for free for two days means Stern is losing it? Using Sterns name to get people to listen to the service and sign up seems like a no brainer to me. There's alot more to Sirius than Howard.

SIRIUS Satellite Radio - SIRIUS Internet Radio

Sirius has 5.1 million subscribers — up 4.4 million since it first signed the self-proclaimed King of All Media — .

lets see 4.4mil times 12.95 times 12months times 5 year contract=3418.8mill

yeah Sterns contract was a stupid ideal for sirius:rolleyes:

Don't you have to factor in the costs that it takes to provide the subscription as well? ;)

As well as subtract the number of subscribers they would have gotten by alternative marketing methods than promoting Howard? :)

Dunno I only took business 101, never stuck around long for 102, or for Howeird and Opie and Anthony.

For one good laugh in around 1/2 hour of extremely stupid painful to listen to conversation it just isn't worth it.

O and A are complete idiots and Howard isn't much smarter.

Both use the same format, posse kiss azz mentality in a freak show environment.

One would think that would provide a few more laughs than what I've heard.... :p

How many rational semi-normal people could go on either show without shoving a mic. down one of their throats? :D

I'd listen to Hair Nation before either one of those shows. :D

I don't think it takes business 101 to multiply those numbers. Seems pretty cut and dry to me. More subscribers=more money.

Before Howard came in Sirius had been around for awhile and growth was flat at 650,000 subscribers....

within Howards first year... 5.1 million... yeah they all came for the music:rolleyes:

Love him, Hate him ... 700%+ subscription growth in under a year....that level of success is unprecedented and phenomenal.

.... but you guys keep spinning he's a failure;)

+1

Why do people keep saying that it was a failure for him to move over there? Sirius is catching up to XM in subscriptions very quickly, and believe it or not Howard is what has done it for them.

Well here's a quote from the article, and using your method of marketing, it's up in the air, or up to the reader to tell just how big an influence he was. :p

"Sirius has 5.1 million subscribers — up 4.4 million since it first signed the self-proclaimed King of All Media — but only a portion of that total tunes in to Stern."

Only a portion..... hey those calculators have a - sign on them for a reason. ;)

Sirius has great music channels however. :)

OK don't get me wrong HE IS NOT A FAILURE at what he does.
More like his broadcast company is. But that puts howard as losing the SEMI FAN factor..

I like Howard but not enough to go out & buy Sirrus to hear him.

You know how it goes when you leave a 2 dollar bill in a strippers G-String feeling that that money was just PIZZZED away on a cheap look.
