hello peoples: I have one and never knew what it meant. Just found out it was the performance trim level Buick had in the 80's. I thought it was just short 4 turbo.

And this logo was for the promotion of the V6 power plant.
We tend to associate the power 6 logo with the turbocharged option.

hello peoples: option code Y56
IBBY
Y56 was the "Touring Suspension Package" that was required on all turbocharged Regals, including GNs. It was noted by the T in T-type and in '87 it was changed to just a "T". On the GNs the "T" emblems were superseded by the GN package emblems so that is why there are no "T" emblems on a GN even though it has the same suspension. I believe the Y56 will still show on the SPID label though. The Y56 suspension could be had on non turbo cars and that is why you will occasionally see a T emblem on a non turbo car. I have only seen the non turbo Ts on V-8 307 cars though, so I'm not sure if it the suspension could be on base V-6 Regal. The Y56 package could have triggered an engine requirement of the 307 and it was mandatory on the turbos so it may not have been available in base V-6 config.
