International's monster truck goes to market

Dwarfed is an understatement. I've seen a few and must say these are just plain redneck cool!

The concept is simple. take an International medium duty 2x4 or 4x4 truck chassis, 2 door or 4 door cab, trick it out with all the chrome goodies like stacks, wheels, bumpers, grill etc... and bolt on a ford F350 dually pickup bed.

The rear wheels/tires stick out past the sides of the ford pickup bed dually wheelhouses by several inches.

With a 570 cid International under the hood, there's up to 1300 ft*lb and 340 HP available. They've been selling faster than they can be built.

Heck, if you're going to go big, go big! I am going to take this trend to it's logical conclusion and buy a dump truck.

It will be safe... I will be able to run over an H2 without hardly noticing and if anything hits me I won't know until I see it on the news.

It can carry all the stuff my wife buys at the mall.

It will tow anything I own.

I will be sitting up high so will have a good view of the road (of which I will be king).

Plenty of room for the kids in the back... and with a big screen TV and a sofa they'll be comfortable and content.

And if need be I can haul a few loads to make some extra coin.

Sweet deal all around...

(And if too many other people start getting them, I'm going 18 wheeler)

A shining example of all that is wrong with America these days. It's one huge **** swinging ego-mobile. A status symbol for clueless wealthy yuppies who need a bigger attention getter than Biff next door has.
I'm sure someone will pipe in that "Some people need a truck that big". Yeah...truckers... for their jobs. I find it hard to believe that any of the newest duelly diesel trucks isn't big enough to haul anything you could think of.
How very pathetic. No wonder other countries hate us. Look at the picture we paint of ourselves. Gluttonous, never satisfied pigs, who need everything bigger bigger bigger!!!!

Ummmm...........Air brakes, what's the GVWR on this thing? Are we getting into CDL catagory? I hope so, at least it'll keep it from becoming the latest yuppie toy. I may be practical for contractors that haul a crew and a heavy equiptment trailer along with them.

Chevy/GMC took a similar approach last year with the Lo-Pro pickup which was essentially a medium-duty chassis-cab with a pickup bed.
