Hurst shifter

Has anybody put in a Hurst V-Matic 2 shifter in? I know they will be a lot of modification on top but was wondering if the mechanicals hook up.

I haven't used one of those shifters in a Buick,but i have installed them in a few cars.

IMHO,that shifter is a piece of crap.I would suggest a different one.

What vehicle did you put it in? What happened to it to give you that opinion? It seems like that is a pretty popular shifter? Have they redesigned it do you know?

Both were mustangs.The rachet mechanism is rough,and it is very hard to get adjusted correctly..

it also has a very tall base which would be hard to work with using a stock console,if that was your plan.

I got this idea by looking at the turbo regal website and saw they custom fit a megashifter in the console which I thought was the same thing as V-matic?
The Nick that did that spot on the Megashifter, was that you? Both companies have a console shifter for those same models but fit Camaros. Can they be adapted better into the console than the universal mounts?
