what is the advantage of installing a HV kit and a thrust plate???

Kit contains tall gears, spacer, springs, fasteners and instructions. Costs around $35. Thrust plate is a different kit. I never used one. The plate provides a new surface for the gears to rest on. Hi-Volume kit increases oil pressure because pump gears are longer. I use them all the time on my T, which is a daily driver. I never had a problem with them and my personal choice would be to install one on any motor I put together.
