Howdy,

I just got my TA length checking pushrod in the mail today but I'm wondering if I have usable lifters now. I bought them off of a guy running them in his Stage II dragster and was told they will work by both him and some on the board. Now I'm wondering if they will. Please take a look at them.

In a stock block.......nope,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but those lifters won't work in a stock block. They don't have a shielded foot design. Strictly Stage II stuff.

Sorry

CRAP!!!!   I got a good deal on them, I know why now. Not saying that Mike Bohrer is a bad guy, just maybe not familure with production style stuff. Great, just out of curiosity can I use the link bars and get for a set of chevy rollers? Otherwise I now have a great set of Stage hydrallic roller lifters and nice beefy 3/8" pushrods for sale :frown:

I hate to further rain on your parade but are you sure those are hydraulic roller lifters? They look like solid roller lifters to me?

just checked and yeah... seems like they are, either that or they have very stiff springs in the pistons. Now I do feel screwed!! if they were hydrallic I'd understand but these were sold to me as hydrallic rollers! Mike now might be getting an angry call from me!!

Not to mention it's a two sided sword here, while you mention that he wasn't familiar with the production stuff, there was another party involved that wasn't either.

Not pinning the fault on anyone, just trying to point out that it can be a mutual thing.

While I gotcha here, the late even fire dissy's have the offset dissy plug terminals.

Thanks for the tip on the distibutors. I don't blame Mike for not knowing these were stage only.. thats honest, not knowing these were solids... thats just either stupid or dishonest, take your pick.

Third option is, sh!t happens.
I'm sure anyone that's bought used engine parts has had a brain fade, at some time.

that maybe but this falls under the expensive for me and supremely boneheaded for him mistake. I wouldn't have bought them if they were solids Stage or not!
