I have heard of early, diesel, or canadian 200-4Rs having hydraulic lockup with no controller necessary. We just got in a 88 MCSS at work that has had the wiring hacked to hell and is constantly in and out of lockup. Is there an aftermarket kit to do this with, or do I need to use factory parts? Digging around the parts shelves I did find a VB with the lockup valve in it but i'm sure the rest of what I need is gone. Also I was wondering if the case passages are different. Basically need any preliminary info on it and opinions on how it would work. The car is not modded it was just hacked up due to being a recovered theft. The CZ trans is still there, but it had the wrong gov in it. Shifts great now but the owner doesn't want to pay us to hunt down the cause of the lockup complaint. Using a shift box it locks perfect.

Anyone??

the early non ecm lock up valve body does not us the same casting or seperator plate as the ecm lock up.an easy system is to run 12 volts to a and use a normally open 4th pressure switch in the 4th port on the valve body.ground wire from solenoid connected to the switch will give ground to the juiced up lockup solenoid about 2 seconds after a 4th gear upshift.
