I have a stock 87 GN, looking to make some mild mods, I just ordered the Hyper Tech Street Runner. I was jsut looking for feedback berfore I install... Many thanks !!!!

Might be better off cancelling your order and get a chip from either Turbo Tweak or Bob Bailey.

Install it and see how well it works. That's all that matters. It doesn't matter what someone might think about it. If it performs well,it performs well. You'll be the judge of that. Then let us know how you like it.

I had a hyper Tech chip .. in my tta ,it performed well the only thing I didn't like was the idle quality .then . I installed the stock chip back, will be putting a ttweek chip this weekend. What didn't work for me could work for you,if you're not happy you could always get a ttweek chip later ,maybe not.Good luck on your new chip hope you like it.Don't let these guys knock you down do whatever you think is right for you....

No one is knocking him. He came here asking for feedback and it was given. If he wants to stick with Hypertech its his choice. But if he did a search on here he would clearly see Hypertech = no good for our cars :)

He's already ordered the chip. Advice might have been useful before his purchase, but there's nothing to give advise on after the purchase. I see only one thing to do. Install it and observe.

Had a hypertech chip in my car b4 tt chip. It was night and day difference. I would say go w tt or Bailey and since your doing mild mods get the tt. Chip/Bailey's w 60lbs injectors if you're looking to go low 11s

the only advice i could give here would be to keep the boost levels at stock or a little less. Im not sure how the WOT timing advance is, but with todays pump gas you can get into trouble quick if you have the boost turned up with a chip that has higher timing. Keep an eye on the knock sensor and 02's, as long as they are in check and the driveability is tolerable then gather as much information as you can to plot out future goals/upgrades for the car.

Thanks for all the advice... As I said still learning and yes doing lots of reading. I did cancel the order..
What I wound up doing is getting the following:
Commander chip
Tranny cooler
60lb injectors
New fuel Pump and regulator

You might want to add a hotwire kit and scanmaster to that
