I am a newb and have a few questions!

I recently had a chance in a life time to get not one but two cars I have always wanted. Well not exactly! The first is a 84 Grand National with t tops and the other is a 84 Regale T-Type wh1!!! Not to bad, I really wanted an 87 but I am still very happy. The GN will be a later project, but the T Type is the one I am going to start playing with. I am not new to cars just these cars. Anyways it has about 151000 miles and seems to run real strong, I am pretty sure it is all stock and I know the turbo is bad ( bad shaft and seals ) it smokes like hell at wot. I have 2 grand to throw at it and I was wondering what you guys would recomend? Oh and what are the turbo specs on the by chance and can these really be intercooled? Any help? Thanks
