yes if it did not affect any thing else like burning a harness up who cares about the ecm baught one new for 125 dollars

if your parking it for a long time just take the battery and ecm out. Or are you willing to spend 125$ each time you take your car out?

I think you should just rig some electric plates to the seat on several high output coils and set them up on a very well hidden kill switch and if the thief doesn't find the switch first, he will get a shocking experience when he finally starts the car.

Even better would be to find a way to electrify the whole car...though I'm sure it would be highly illegal....hey a thief can't steal what he can't touch....:wink:

It is easy to be done, a lot of people don't want to post because a thief may read it.....

I am all for doing whatever it takes to keep them from starting it up and stealing it, but what about those that just tow it away?

So, since you are thinking of some pretty elaborate stuff like frying the computer, why not just do all the normal stuff and then put a locater in it?? That would ease my mind more than all the no start stuff.
