When you check the coil what should it read as far as ohms?

pulled the coil off all the stuff under it looks melted it was all stuck to the wired and coil last time , I changed it was not like this is this telling me some thing?

Ok seems the coil got real hot so going to replace it and module also should ,I go with GM for both see that highways stars have both GM and OEM Magnavox true reproduction high-output DIS coil pack so which is better?

Ok thanks guys for helping me out looks like the coil is going bad from all the melted goo under it must be getting real hot. Had a hard time just getting the coil off looked like spiderman web. I had a extra GM coil from kirbans that checked out good at a 11 ohms all the way around. Should ,I go ahead and replace the ECM also? Or is there a way to test it?

Yes,replace the coil pack and the ignition module.

Most auto parts stores;Autozone,Advanceautoparts,etc. can test the ignition module.

Hate to say it but still doing after coil changed out .Checked the coil hot was 12.9 to 13.4 here is what I got on scan tool 02- 867 not cycling, int-128, bl-129 cycling at time going to 135 , ats-113, tps-44/46, iac-30 . cc-253 , its will run fine getting into boost from 3- on up but if you try to get down on it from a roll starts to come up them falls on it face. So of the things,I messed with was boost hoses changed them out, new pcv hose, did pull the dog house and it had oil and grit maybe not sure in it after blowing the head gasket.I am lost thought for sure it was the coil and module could a bad turbo do this? Car was running good before the head gaskets blew but was the same feeling when ,I got down on it and they blew so seems this was happening before then just had not been getting on it hard. Ok so what off things do ,I check?
