i can HEAR knock but i cant SEE it

ive had this problem for a while. when im in street tune, (91 octane, 15psi, 19/17 timing on the trans plus) i can hear a tick or two of knock under WOT acceleration. the scanmaster reads it as 1.6*s or 1.2. o2s are 804

if its only 1.6 than why do i hear it????

its only like "................................................................................................................tick...............tick tick.........................................."



at the track w/ 100 octane , 23* timing, i get 804 o2s w/ 1.2* shift knock and no sound of knock what so ever.

what gives?

ttt for ya, one of my friends has the same thing, hes never blown a head gasket and most of the time we see 1-2* of knock at the most on the 2-3 shift, but you can hear a few ticks of it. I'm guessing its possible the knock sensor or module isnt doing its job, but are there any other ideas

Test the knock sensor and see if it's seeing any knock when you tap on it.
