Hi everyone, I've been looking for a while and I finally found an affordable Grand National. Now she's not pretty, but in time she'll be looking as good as some of the rides on this forum. It's a 1987 with t-tops and needs a lot of work. I'm planning on doing a frame off restoration because in my eye, these cars deserve it.
I'd like to keep it stock looking inside and out, but doing the obvious... suspension and engine mods. Unfortunately, due to moving and wedding plans coming up in the next year, I cannot start this project as soon as I would like to.
My question to all of you is what should I be doing to get this project started? I have not done a frame off restoration before but I'm a licensed mechanic so I'm capable of doing the work. Are there any parts I should be getting now before I start this project? I want to do this right so I'm open to any advice I can get.
Thanks in advance.
